Course Outlines
Module 1. Recognising emotional responses
Identify emotional triggers and the effect of assumptions on workplace behaviour. Distinguish an observable event from an interpretation and practise a considered response.
Module 2. Self-management and perspective
Use a pause, reflection and constructive questions to manage reactions. Consider another person’s perspective without assuming knowledge of their intentions.
Module 3. Feedback and relationships
Prepare specific feedback based on behaviour, impact and a practical request. Practise receiving feedback, acknowledging concerns and agreeing respectful communication expectations.
Module 4. Handling disagreement
Work through a realistic difference of priorities using active listening and problem clarification. Agree next steps and recognise when an issue requires managerial or formal support.
Methodology
FSMQC uses instructor-led explanation, guided discussion and course-specific applied practice.
Demonstrate a feedback conversation and a disagreement-resolution role play, then record a reasoned reflection. Use a knowledge check and an individual task. Approve the assessment rubric and completion criteria before delivery.
Assessment follows the approved course requirements and individual practical tasks.
