Introduction
FSMQC offers ISO 45001:2018 - Internal Auditor as a separate internal auditor course. Participants study the subject modules below and apply them through the selected training track. Completion of one track does not automatically award the other tracks.
Catalogue code: I17-IA. Contact FSMQC to confirm the course dates, entry requirements, delivery language and applicable assessment route.
Objectives
Audit a work activity against system requirements, risk controls and records. Interview a worker and manager, document a supported finding and evaluate follow-up.
Target Attendees
OH&S personnel, operational managers and worker representatives. FSMQC confirms course readiness, language and learner support needs before enrolment.
Course Outlines
Module 1. Context, leadership and participation
Define scope, responsibilities and OH&S objectives. Explain worker consultation and participation and how leadership supports prevention and suitable working conditions.
Module 2. Hazards, risks and obligations
Identify hazards and affected people, assess OH&S risks and opportunities and review applicable requirements. Address changes, contractors and non- routine activities with competent input.
Module 3. Operational control and preparedness
Apply the hierarchy of controls and plan competence, procurement, outsourced activities and emergency response. Evaluate the adequacy of safe work arrangements in actual operation.
Module 4. Evaluation and improvement
Monitor performance and evaluate compliance arrangements. Investigate incidents and nonconformities, conduct internal audit and management review, and verify effective corrective action.
Methodology
FSMQC uses instructor-led explanation, guided discussion and course-specific applied practice.
A fictional workplace introducing new equipment without updating consultation and risk controls. Use an FSMQC authored, fictional case with sufficient facts and records for independent learner work.
Learning resources: Hazard register, work instruction, worker feedback, incident and improvement records. Provide a learner explanation, agenda, authorised reference access, exercise instructions and feedback.
Assessment: A knowledge check and individual practical audit outputs assess planning, evidence gathering, findings, reporting and follow-up. FSMQC course completion does not confer ISO certification, registered auditor status or accreditation. The licensed reference and applicable amendments control delivery. Use applicable amendments. The legacy OHSAS 18001 label is retained only in source traceability, not as a current FSMQC course title.
