Introduction
FSMQC offers ISO/IEC 17020:2026 - Implementer as a separate implementer course. Participants study the subject modules below and apply them through the selected training track. Completion of one track does not automatically award the other tracks.
Catalogue code: I05-IMP. Contact FSMQC to confirm the course dates, entry requirements, delivery language and applicable assessment route.
Objectives
Build an inspection workflow, competence matrix, impartiality risk record and reporting controls. Prepare a gap plan with internal review and management oversight.
Target Attendees
Inspection managers, inspectors and technical or quality staff. FSMQC confirms course readiness, language and learner support needs before enrolment.
Course Outlines
Module 1. Inspection scope and impartiality
Explain inspection as evaluation against specified requirements. Define scope, independence, impartiality and confidentiality. Review risks from commercial pressure and organisational relationships.
Module 2. Competence and resources
Identify personnel competence, authorisation, supervision and suitable equipment. Explain how inspection methods, facilities and supporting records affect reliable outcomes.
Module 3. Inspection process and records
Follow contract review, preparation, examination, sampling where applicable and reporting. Evaluate completeness, traceability, information control and handling of changes or disputed findings.
Module 4. Assurance and improvement
Explain complaints, appeals, internal audit, management review and corrective action. Evaluate whether inspection decisions remain impartial, consistent and supported by evidence.
Methodology
FSMQC uses instructor-led explanation, guided discussion and course-specific applied practice.
A fictional inspection body asked to release a report before technical checks are complete. Use an FSMQC authored, fictional case with sufficient facts and records for independent learner work.
Learning resources: Inspection request, method, personnel authorisation, equipment record and report sample. Provide a learner explanation, agenda, authorised reference access, exercise instructions and feedback.
Assessment: A knowledge check and an individual implementation portfolio assess gap analysis, proposed controls, responsibilities and monitoring. FSMQC course completion does not confer ISO certification, registered auditor status or accreditation. The licensed reference and applicable amendments control delivery. Teach the corrected English 2026 text where applicable. Independence categories are Type A and Type non-A; do not reuse the superseded three-category model without explaining the change.
